'Plan A' Cardboard and Polythene Recycling systems with Material handling      

Project Summary

Since 2006 ECS Ltd has completed a total of nine 'site' projects on behalf of Marks and Spencer plc at their distribution warehouses throughout the UK, providing an effective solution to handling recyclable materials.

ECS Ltd assisted in creating 14 dedicated recycling areas housed within portal frame buildings, without taking operational space. These buildings house either Automatic Horizontal balers for the cardboard or vertical balers for the Polythene bags. In addition to the provision of the baling press itself, these installations included feed conveyors, bespoke manufactured hoppers, and portal frame buildings as required. In some cases it was necessary for us to integrate the baler with an existing feed system.
